Process

The following is the typical process we use to create a new web site. If, however, you are looking to have your existing site modified, the process differs slightly, but is generally the same.

Step 1: Initial Meeting

In our first meeting we will discuss your goals for the site, those sites that you like and those site that you dislike. We will explain the current design trends of the internet. With all of this information in mind, we will create a document that will outline the structure and scope of the work to be performed by our designers and developers.

Step 3: Search Engine Optimization

We start the process of search engine optimization before we do anything else for your site because effective SEO must be reflected in everything: from site structure to page design to site content. Placing SEO at step 3 in our process is a bit of a misnomer, because effective SEO is a process that does not end; rather, effective SEO copntinues long after a site has been launched.

Step 3: Site Structure & Scope Document

After our initial meeting, we will create a document that displays the hierarchy of your site. This document will also display the various items and functionalities that will exist on each page.

Step 4: Prototype Creation

In accordance with the site structure document we will design a prototype of the homepage that incorporates all the functionalities and elements that will exist on that page. We will design this prototype keeping in mind your direction and desires from our notes at our initial meeting. We will make this prototype viewable via our secure website.

Step 5: Prototype Revisions

After you have had a chance to review and scrutinize the prototype that we created, we will ask for whatever revisions you would like to be made and incorporate those revisions. Once you have approved the revisions, we will begin the process of development.

Step 6: Development & Testing

After you have approved the revised prototype, we will begin developing and testing your web site. When we develop your site we will test it on the two most recent versions of the most common web browsers on both Windows and Mac platforms.

Step 7: Staging

Once we have developed and tested your site we will allows you two access it via our secure server before we make it live on the internet.

Step 8: Launch

We push your approved site live to the internet for all to view.
