Google AdWords Success Metrics

One of the metrics that KeywordSpy uses to gauge the profitability of an AdWords ad/keyword is the length of time an ad has been running for a certain keyword. Unfortunately, this metric doesn’t account for the possibility that an ad doesn’t receive significant click-thru or a keyword doesn’t generate significant search volume. As such, some advertisers may be content to let ads run for significant periods of time even though the ads/keywords may not be profitable.
